Links to search engines to help students conduct their own searches for outside funding can be found on UCR’s Office of Research website. Click on the “For Students” tab then highlight “Funding Opportunities.” There you will find several links to different search engines that will help you in your search for outside funding. “SPIN” and “IRIS” are paid subscriptions and require that you use a university computer.
The UCLA Graduate and Postdoctoral Extramural Support Database
The Graduate and Postdoctoral Extramural Support Database (GRAPES) catalogs extramural funding opportunities of interest to prospective and current graduate students, students working on a master's thesis or doctoral dissertation, and postdoctoral scholars. It contains information on over 500 private and publicly funded awards, fellowships, and internships. Advanced search options allow users to refine their search by field, academic level, award type, award amount, and other criteria.
